latin American Indian Dancing

Dance reflects the vast capacity of native peoples to endure culturally and to continue as a vital contemporary cultural phenomenon. The dance of native peoples is both a vital means of surviving culturally and powerful expression of that survival. I saw them last week end on the place Esquirol. You are welcome.

Toulouse overflows with particular, more beautiful hotels the some that the other, testimonies of its past wealth. Colors between Autumn and Christmass

This is the reason I get on the bus and ride down to the popular Place Wilson. A lot of people are milling around the place. I think they are here like I am - they are waiting for a couple of minutes of fall. Everything seemed to be having a light show as if the countryside was having a festival.

The "Canal du Midi" in autumn

Almost immediately, 45 thousand planes were planted with several clearly defined objectives. The most important of which was to limit the evaporation of water, particularly during the summer, which can be hot in the southern region of France. Then came the concern of shading the paths for towing and the navigational routes all along the canal in order to allow the bargemen and the tow horses to travel in better conditions. Besides this, the tree roots reinforced the banks of the canal. Finally in autumn, the leaves would form a layer at the bottom of the canal and reduce the risks of water infiltration into the soil. Now, these trees are the simple pleasure of tourists who meander along the banks on barges or bicycles.

Goudouli Fountain Place Wilson

Erected in honour of the famous poet Pierre Goudouli, this fountain is the work of the sculptor Falguière. The smiling poet is seated naked beside his langourous relaxing muse; la Garonne. Full of inspiration, Goudouli composes his verses amidst the clouds of water spraying up into a wall behind him and falling down at his feet, before flowing into a circular basin.
