The Cinema



People have appointments in front of the entry of this cinema. Saturdays after midday it is the peak shopping period and that's good for the multiplex cinema too.

avec nostalgie, je regrette les vieux cinemas de quartier. a evry il n'y a que des grands multiplex et que les films a grands succes.

En effet Olivier! L'atmosphère des premières séances de la "grande époque" du cinéma de quartier est trés éloignée de ces multiplex standardisés et aseptisés. En revanche, nous avons dans la commune de Tournefeuille un cinéma d'antan qui mérite le détour! C'est en quelque sorte une reconstitution des cinémas du début du siècle dernier. A voir!!

This is a funny photo to me. The way they are all sitting on each individual barrier. In the US midday cinema is not the cool time to go. Young people such as these would normally attend a late evening showing. So if I took a similar photo here I am sure the people sitting on the barriers would be closer to my age (well past concern about cool).
