In the south west of France, the city is about 150kms from the Spanish border,

Always difficult to get a good compromise exposure with these shots, but this is quite good!

Nice shot. It looks like you got the setting just right when you snapped the picture.
They have, by the way, a new feature in Photoshop CS3 just for these situations. I have not yet tried it but did watch a tutorial.
This is a beautiful photo, Stephan. I love the arch and the cobblestones. Reminds me a bit of my little rose arch which you can see at Adelaide Daily Photo.

Archs are typical in the downtown of Toulouse. it is a good thing to learn how to use CS3 for the exposures! It is not my case but I would like to know!!
